HOW DOES REIKI AND ENERGY HEALING WORK?

Everything, including our thoughts and our physical bodies, is made up of moving, vibrating energy. This energy is encoded with information that determines the functioning of our cells. An energy worker is trained to intentionally tap into the source of universal life force energy (also known as "chi" or "prana") for the purpose of healing. The application of this universal life force energy can nourish, revitalize and reprogram worn out cells, improve the overall functioning of your body and teach you to be more aware of all aspects of your being. Energy Healing allows you to achieve deep relaxation; when you are relaxed, your body is free to heal itself.

Scientific studies have investigated the effects of Reiki. In the 1980s, Dr. Robert Becker and Dr. John Zimmerman found that during a Reiki session not only do the brain wave patterns of the practitioner and client become synchronized in the alpha state (a slow and meditative frequency), but they also pulse in unison with the earth's magnetic field.
